Connemara cottage bakery
Granny Byrne’s story
Granny Byrne’s Connemara Cottage Bakery is a small kitchen in Oughterard, County Galway. The fudge is still made the old way — a heavy pot, condensed milk, Irish farm butter, and patience.
What began as tins for neighbours and the gift shop down the road is now posted across Ireland: ten cottage flavours, from traditional vanilla and salted caramel to Snickers, Malteser and cashewnut, plus the Irish pours — Baileys, Jamesons and Kahlúa coffee.
We are a cottage bakery, not a factory. Batches are small, packs are 180g of large handmade blocks, and every tin is cut in Connemara.
